How the KEA does it
The KEA Annual Conference
The KEA annual conference, held in October each year, brings together economics researchers from all parts of the Commonwealth and around the world to present and discuss topics and issues of current interest to policy makers, academics, and students. Last year's sessions included Macroeconomics and International Economics, Public Economics, Health and Labor Economics, and a panel - Opportunities for Undergraduates in Economics.
Kentucky Distinguished Economist Awards
Each year the KEA presents the Kentucky Distinguished Economist Award, which recognizes the lifetime achievements of Kentucky's preeminent researchers and thought leaders. The 2022 recipient of the Kentucky Distinguished Economist Award is Dr. Frank Scott, Gatton Professor of Economics at the University of Kentucky.
Journal of Applied Economics and Policy
The Journal of Applied Economics and Policy (formerly the Kentucky Journal of Economics and Business) is published by the Kentucky Economic Association at Western Kentucky University. The JAEP accepts submissions from all JEL classifications; however, special attention is paid to manuscripts focusing on issues relating to Kentucky and the surrounding region.

The Kentucky Economics Association Best Student Paper Award is sponsored by Cengage, the leading provider of print and online learning materials for both students and the community of economist educators.
