Each year the KEA presents the Kentucky Distinguished Economist award at its annual conference.
The 2023 Kentucky Distinguished Economist Award recipient is Dr. Todd Stinebrickner
Dr. Todd Stinebrickner is a labor economist with a specialization in the area of education. He is the director of the Berea Panel Study. This longitudinal study of students from low income backgrounds was initiated with the aim of understanding how important decisions are made during college and during the early portion of individuals’ post-college lives.
Stinebrickner received a B.S. in Mathematics (Summa cum laude) from St. Bonaventure University in 1992, and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia in 1993 and 1996 respectively.
